We are delighted to share our enriching experience from attending the Moto-Forum 2024, an event that took place on October 19-20 in the picturesque city of Zakopane. Organized by the ProfiAuto network and ProfiAuto Serwis, this gathering was a pivotal moment for the automotive aftermarket industry, and we are thrilled to have been a part of it.
Moto-Forum 2024 was more than just a conference; it was a comprehensive platform for industry professionals to exchange ideas, share experiences, and address the current challenges and future trends in the automotive sector. The event was divided into four regional meetings, each attracting a significant number of participants. Our attendance in Zakopane was part of a larger series that included events in Łochów, Karpacz, and Międzyzdroje, collectively hosting over 1,200 participants from across Poland.
One of the highlights of the event was the series of panel discussions that delved into critical topics relevant to our industry.
The first session, “Serwis niezależny a współczesny samochód – wyzwania, przed którymi stoi mechanik” (Independent Service and Modern Cars – Challenges for Mechanics), focused on the technological advancements in modern vehicles and the specific challenges mechanics face when servicing them. This included discussions on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), the Pass Thru procedure, and the importance of SEREM certification.
The second session, “Mechanika pojazdowa to nie wszystko – serwis samochodowy od kuchni” (Vehicle Mechanics is Not Everything – Car Service from the Inside), explored the legal and operational aspects of running a car workshop. Topics such as legal responsibilities, insurance coverage, and the overall operational efficiency of workshops were thoroughly discussed.
The final session, “Rola i przyszłość marek własnych w dystrybucji części zamiennych” (The Role and Future of Private Labels in the Distribution of Spare Parts), examined the current state and future prospects of private labels in the aftermarket. This included strategies for promoting private labels, comparing their reliability to renowned brands, and addressing customer concerns.
In addition to the insightful panel discussions, Moto-Forum 2024 featured a mini-trade fair where participants could engage with leading suppliers and manufacturers. Renowned brands such as ATE, Brembo, Castrol, DENSO, Febi, Hella, and many others showcased their latest products and solutions. This provided an excellent opportunity for us to explore new technologies, establish new business connections, and strengthen existing relationships within the industry.
The event was not just about business; it also included a social component that allowed participants to unwind and enjoy each other’s company. The BOHO PARTY, with its relaxed and colourful theme, featured a DJ, delicious food from the grill, healthy snacks, and various desserts. This setting encouraged informal networking and helped to foster a sense of community among the attendees.
Our participation in Moto-Forum 2024 was an incredibly enriching experience. We would like to extend our gratitude to the organizers for their meticulous preparation and for creating a platform that facilitated such valuable exchanges. With over 400 car workshop owners and nearly 260 automotive wholesalers in attendance, this event underscored the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing within our industry. As a manufacturer of windshield wipers, OXIMO is committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements. The insights and connections gained from Moto-Forum 2024 will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and innovation of our business, and we look forward to future editions of this esteemed event.
